Zach played again last night. His team is the Rangers, and he is one of many talents on the team. In the first quarter, Zach scored two goals, 'one with each foot,' explained the center striker.
The rest of the game saw him in defensive positions, allowing for other 'mates a chance to score, and showing some mercy on a clearly outclassed opponent. In the fourth quarter, while playing back defender, Zachary sprinted toward an approaching attack assailing from the sideline. He sent the ball back into safety, but continued his sprint to the sideline. Without slowing, Zach continued past the coach and spectating parents as he ran full-speed to the bathrooms. 'I have to go to the bathroom' he uttered breathlessly as he went.
The team only allowed one goal, and Zach's coach later told him that under the circumstances, it was OK. 'Just don't ever try that when the score is tied," said coach Jim.
Final Score: U8 doesn't keep score (but we smoked 'em.)
